Wood drawings are the future.
I did a couple of drawings on wood recently and found it to be rather fun. I'm thinking of selling them at future craft/comic fairs. I find it a good way of working as they act as small canvases, giving the drawing more weight, more like a possesion. And are really fast to make! More to come soon I think.

Macmillan work
These are a few spreads from my macmillan sketchbook. I hadn't had any time over the holidays to be working on it, so I've just picked it up again over the last two weeks. The brief is to make a children's book, using either an existing story or one of our one. It's been really interesting working on it so far, as I hadn't made work for children before. I found I've had to conciously ask myself whether or not each aspect would be suitable and enjoyable for children. But there is a lighter side to my work (my comics), but I've found that working in a more serious tone has been relevant to the briefs set this year, so I've really enjoyed coming back to this approach. I probably won't have it made in time to send for the competition as my story is still in it's early stages, but it's been great to take part in it anyway.
