Comic Book!

Over the last few weeks I've been working on a new comic book. It's pretty much just a combination of everything from my sketchbook, so I thought it would be good to finally do something with it. It's set in the 70s and is about a kid and a cat venturing through a party, meeting people and doing crazy stuff. There's a lot of hippy action, meaning awesome outfits and haircuts! Only two pages left to do and then it'll be ready to go. I've also posted a short comic for the group manifesto project for the online content. It's a brief story about my costume and my primary needs. I think the ink looks pretty good, although it's very heavy on the eyes.

Kingsbridge Film Club Posters.

Howdy Folks! I've recently been designing some posters for a film club back home in Devon. It mostly shows world cinema and is only in it's first year of life, but rocks already. Here are some of the designs I've been working on. I've been really enjoying working on them....also, more to come soon!

Sketchbook time!

I haven't been doing much over the last couple of weeks, apart from lots of drawing. Here's some from my sketchbook for your viewing pleasure!

Drawing at Kim's house (she's the best).

Don't judge me on the craziness of the top one, I've just been through a rough emotional period as the deadline for the animation loomed (I went insane for a few days and lived on cereal), but it's all better now! Yay!

Harry Fulcher animation.

Harry Animation. from Jazz Greenhill on Vimeo.

This is my animation for the object project, it's finally done! Yay. The process was very stressful and exhausting and I only just finished in time. But I'm really pleased that it's finished, it ain't bad!

Animation station.

Here are some pictures of one of the animation techniques I've been using. I've been using a mix of mine and Harry's photographs to create stands and backgrounds, meaning that I can just move with the camera. Saving lots of time hopefully. This part makes up a few seconds near the beginning.. still have lots to do.

Christmas market stall!

Here are some snaps of the stall that I had over the Christmas holidays. I was selling some of the stuff I'd screen printed recently. It was jolly good fun and I managed to sell a few bits, so it was good all round. But very chilly!

Interview day with Harry and Bobbi, then fish and chips.

For the object project I decided I wanted to animate an interview with my friend Harry. He taught me to play the saxophone when I was a wee girl, so we've been good friends for many years. Harry is a wonderful musician and one of the most genuinely warm and happy people I've ever met. Leading from the piano stool (my chosen chair), I wanted to theme the interview around the highlights of his life and the joy of creative expression. Unfortunately, Harry was recently diagnosed with motor neurone disease and can't perform any more, but the world works in mysterious ways.

The interview went super great, it ended up being about 2 hours long, we just got carried away. But I have no idea how I'm going to start condensing it down, it's just good to have it on tape. After a few intense hours we revitalized with a drink and delicious fish and chips. It was wonderful.

Disco Inferno.

These are a few photos of the t-shirts and bags I've been printing over the last few days. I wanted to make some to hopefully sell at a market over christmas. I chose to print some funky guys from the 70s. Mainly because I think that disco is one of the greatest things that happened in the history of mankind. I'm not sure whether others agree, but they make pretty good t-shirts and bags.
